Currently (2000 – present) employed at the Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa (IDC), a state-owned self-financing development finance corporation. Within IDC, I was first employed as Regional Manager responsible for the Eastern Cape Province and in 2002 as Head of Agency Development and Support Department which served as a catalyst for integrated sustainable local and regional development in marginalized areas by providing funding and support for the identification, facilitation, development and promotion of opportunities and potential. Towards this end, the department managed various funds including those supporting development agencies, social enterprises, spatial interventions (partnerships) and inclusive business. In April 2015, the mandate of the Department was broadened to include the role of supporting the IDC to achieve greater impact within specific development outcomes including : black industrialists, B-BBEE, youth empowerment, women empowerment, regional equity, localisation, community empowerment and environmental impact and renamed the Development Impact Support Department which I headed until 2021. In 2021, I assumed the position of Regional Programmes Manager, establishing and managing various funds, primarily in the development sphere and still being responsible for various development outcomes in the corporation.
