I provide Thought Leadership to a team of Architects (Information, Data, Integration, Reporting), unifying, streamlining, and developing the processes, capabilities, and WoW. I train as I go, educating the Business, uplifting and knitting together a better understanding between Business and Process Architects, BAU, Project & Programme Managers. I review, identify ineffectiveness and inefficiencies in Architecture Models, Interface and Integration Specifications, Technical Architecture Documents, and High-Level Designs, which I also Develop the Information Component of, using ArchiMate. I overseeing engagement and data movement to Azure Data Lake, Data Warehouse, MDM, and Power BI. I identifying Security Risks, working closely with the Lead Security Architect, and I have a seat at the Architecture Review Board, addressing Information related concerns. I run the Information Management Architecture Review Board, and work closely with the Lead Integration Architect, Lead Technology Architect, Lead Process Architect and Lead Business Architects. I am slightly Autistic, giving me an ability to deal with deep detail, and high-level, integrated System's Thinking. I love people, and get on well with them. I simply get the job done, and do not play the political games, which I actually cannot see going on around me. I am fair, and honest, and expect the same from those I work with. I believe in educating and growing the insight and experience of my team, making them more effective and valued. I have both permanent and contractors in my team. We work hard and enjoy our "Whackey-Wednesday" team-building sessions. Working in the digital space is enjoyable, as my capabilities as an autistic person allow me to excel in this environment, that said, Digital without the ability to make things happen is pointless, thus I believe in Architecture Roadmaps that can be delivered in orchestration with the other Delivery Teams, and End Users who require valued, quality, trusted data.
The Contract was completed with successful delivery of scaled deliverables within the reduced timelines, with a client that provided exceptional reviews on enhancing Business Understanding of Data, Implementing capabilities, professionalism and quality delivery. Guided the team of architects positioned themselves according to the MDDMF v5.0 Framework to understand their areas of influence and control to design and deliver the project harmoniously, with data in mind. Inspired the Business, Senior Management & Operations to confidently work with their data and information. Identified existing components, their maturity, the gaps, and how to leverage each for the best outcome, (with limited time, cost and resources). Implemented components of the Framework, focusing on Data Governance, Definition Management, Metadata Management, Business Glossary, Data Dictionary, Data Quality, and contributions to Reference and Master Data.
Analysed the Quilter Investors Business Process, Information and Data and provided integrated models and operational level artifacts to advance their Information and Data Journey. Provided guidance to Data Governance Specialist on design and implementation of the Collibra Ontology for the Group across Data, People, Process and Technology. Worked within Collibra, building the Governance and controls external to Collibra to manage multi-user changes to the Development and Production Metadata within Collibra. Created Quality Management processes (Export, Check, Import). Design Training Manuals for use by internal users, as well as the Service Desk on User and Group Management.
