Zodiac Aerospace Services is a Zodiac Services company, part of the Zodiac Aerospace Group headquartered in France with annual revenues in excess of 4 billion Euros. Zodiac Services perform thousands of component repairs monthly via four (4) separate Part 145 Repair Stations and distributes aircraft spares globally via a 3PL operation in Atlanta. My responsibilities are the Quality Management Systems, HSE and Continuous Improvement across all Part 145 Repair Stations and oversight of the distribution operations that ship over 4 million aircraft spares annually. The product range is very broad, the geography covered is significant, stretching across three (3) time zones. Despite these challenges, my job is made easy, and enjoyable, by the fact that I lead a very experienced, capable and dedicated group of staff.
– Doubled annual sales for Alaska and central and western Canada region for oil, gas, and industrial services encompassing a full spectrum gas turbine services; engine overhauls and upgrades, field services, training, control systems, and parts and repairs. – Identified and negotiated long term service agreements (LTSA’s) and provided continued support to maximize the opportunity conversion potential. Set company record for the “highest dollar value contract, new customer,” for Wood Group Light Industrial Turbines with a regional sales closure of a $5.5M Term Service Agreement. – Won $3M+ of new product business on DLN / DLE gas turbine equipment and components in 2012, competing directly against OEM, by leveraging strong customer relationships.
Worldwide Business Manager, Rolls-Royce Products – Substantiated a high level business opportunity for MRO services with a major world airline, including execution of a memorandum of understanding (MOU), for a ten-year contract with a potential value of $300M. – Negotiated and signed a two-year repair services contract for turbine blades and vanes worth $8M of business with a European OEM engine shop. Negotiated a nine-year follow-on contract that was worth $40M. – Expanded overseas business unit by securing a three-year services contract with an airline in the Far East for Honeycomb Seal overhaul. Contract includes high margin (25+ %) scrap replacement opportunities. – Virtually eliminated aged receivables (10% of revenues) with a target growth customer. – Won a three-year $6M+ LTSA with a European airline to overhaul turbine airfoils; blades and vanes. Operations Manager (TRT-Ltd) – Managed the turbine airfoils (blades and vanes / nozzles) facility to meet the contractual and financial goals of the Joint Venture Company (Chromalloy / Rolls-Royce). – Introduced innovative production techniques and scheduling that transformed a troubled repair program into a model operation. Within 90 days, the backlog (15 days work) was eliminated and capacity was increased 35% with no increase in head count. – Implemented 24/7 work coverage at several long process operations that resulted in smoother flows, reduced turn-times and avoided major capital expenditures (e.g. $400K vacuum heat treatment and brazing furnace). – Proposed and implemented novel production techniques that facilitated rapid transition of operation to full production status on a turbine blade program that added 25% to monthly revenues.
