Hi and welcome to my profile. I am an anthropologist, teacher and journalist. My primary education is a masters (hovedfag) in visual anthropology at the University of Tromsø. I've also completed courses in pedagogy and journalism. Since 2006 I've been working as a teacher in media studies, social studies, sociology, anthropology and psychology. I've also done numerous freelance work for local and national print media outlets. I also do voluntary work at the hospital as a patient consultant and lecturer on the topic of ankylosis spondylatis (AS). My thesis dealt with the hacker culture in the USA. After my fieldwork in New York City I wrote my thesis in English (see pdf link below) and also made a 30 minute documentary (see link below). My film has been screened at Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía Madrid, Volda Documentary Film Festival, Tromsø Internatioanl Film Festival and participated in the documentary competition during the Kortfilmfestivalen in Grimstad, Norway.
