Primary responsibilities involve outside B2B sales activities to several different market segments for hydraulic engineering products and services, sales and territory management for a sales staff of five to seven, and general management of the company. Responsible for overall management of a $17,000,000 automotive seat belt stamping facility. Departments included: Safety, Quality, Operations, Tooling Design and Maintenance, Inventory Control, Purchasing, Engineering, HR, and Plant Maintenance. Successfully completed a major plant consolidation of another facility while maintaining all customer delivery and quality requirements. Increased profitability, lowered cost and implemented JIT inventory management programs with our suppliers resulting in reduced inventory cost. Upgraded existing lean manufacturing, 5S and Quality programs. From these improvements we were awarded contracts for future programs.
Department responsibililities included: Director, Global Operations, Director, Global Distribution, Director, Global Engineering, and Director, Global Procurement. Responsible for dual plant operation in Phoenix, Arizona and Monterey, Mexico. Lead project which included developing and implementing a plan for the closing of the Phoenix operation. Primary responsiblilities included locating, designing and constructing a manufactruing facility in Northern Mexico. Relocate equipment to both facilities, close Phoenix plant while maintaining production plan and budgets. Budget responsibilities were similar to previous position.
Direct all day-to-day plant operations. Responsible for directing all business and financial concerns in the plant with the purpose of providing a positive impact on EBITDA. Budget responsibility at approximately $13,000,000 for labor and expenses, $600,000 in capital and $31,000,000 combined inventory. Provides necessary direction to the Operations Department Managers and coordinates the budget and planning functions as they affect the various departments within the Manufacturing Organization. Responsible departments include: Plant Operations, Inventory Control, Maintenance and Plant Manufacturing Engineering. Along with regular responsibilities I have spent the past 12 months investigating the Mexican market as part ofthe Low Cost Provider Program.
