Worked for Barbour European for 27 years starting off in the warehouse and progressing to General Manager. Family owned company until 1994 when taken over by French Groupe Giraud then various changes of ownership with current owners being French state owned company SNCF subsidiary Geodis Calberson. Main area of expertise is in European road transport and logistics with an extensive knowledge of French and Spanish market. Left Geodis in July 2013 to work with an own fleet operator again until January 2017 when the owner ceased trading.
Managing all Storage UK warehouse functions as well as having direct responsibility for warehouse team whilst assisting in the day to day operations for Ecosse Holdings. Source new customers for self store business as well as customer service and business development for all parts of the business. A family run business that is very professionally run and a great place to work.
Manage the Scottish distribution of finished windows, doors and conservatories to distribution centres as well as residential deliveries. Liaise with production to ensure all deliveries are made on time and in full as well as ensuring driver compliance with current legislation and arranging the servicing and maintenance of the fleet.
