Leading a talented multi-disciplinary team delivering strategic digital transformation across the institution. Overseeing interlinked service areas including identity and collaboration (Microsoft products), business systems, development and integration, business intelligence, and automation and AI. With a strong focus on innovation, leading the deployment of bespoke, subscription and in system AI solutions such as Newton, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot and digital avatar technologies across the university. Leading sector and global engagement on AI solutions in Higher Education, identifying use case and delivering impact through AI and Automation services. Working with the architecture and technology teams to integrate internally developed or commercial off the shelf solutions. Responsibility for all aspects, including strategic policy formation & application and technical, financial and quality aspects.
Management of a portfolio of ICT and business enabling projects. Current projects include: - HR & Payroll, procurement and implementation of a replacement HR solution - Enabling the Business Programme, working to establish the future blueprint for back office functions in the University over the next 10 years - Learning Management System, procurement of and implementation of a Learning Management System - Enterprise Project Management, procurement and implementation of Microsoft Project Server 2013 into the PMO and wider ICT environment
Recently a Project Manager on the Business Transformation Project, establishing the largest police outsourcing contract to date, a partnership with G4S, for which the team won the Police Procurement Team of the Year, and recieved a Highly Commended Award at the Go National Procurement Awards for Team of the Year.
