A professional full-time firefighter assigned to provide safe and effective fire suppression and emergency rescue operations within the City of Hamilton. Duties included training for and responding to structure fires, search and rescue operations, technical rescue operations, high angle rope rescues, confined space rescues and other hazardous materials responses and special operations. Responsible for rendering first aid and the stabilization of injured patients prior to their transportation to medical care facilities by Hamilton Paramedic Services. Tasked with conducting daily fire apparatus and equipment inspections to ensure operational readiness 24 hours a day 7 days a week remained a constant priority. Other duties included commercial fire safety inspections, to reduce and eliminate fire hazards, ensuring operational fire protection and fire detection systems. Participated in various public engagement initiatives to help share fire prevention and safety information. Honoured to have served alongside the committed members of the Hamilton Fire Department on the frontline.

Graduate of the Ontario Police College in 2005 with extensive on the job training and education. Public relations, crisis communications, media relations, open-source investigations, crime prevention, community policing, crime analysis, digital law, digital technology, crime mapping, defensive tactics, internet safety, major crime investigations, fire safety and scene's of crime with a focus on crime scene photography and evidence collection. My final assignment in my professional policing career was as a Media Relations Officer. I was the primary point of contact for local and international news agencies and media networks. Responsible for writing media releases, providing television interviews, radio interviews and initiating and managing all elements of crisis communications during emergency response operations. Developed a reputation as an innovator and for leveraging technology to execute on a community policing approach using social media communications and other public engagement strategies. Certified as a Crime Analyst I was assigned to the Criminal Investigation Branch working with detectives in solving complex investigations. Identifying crime trends and provided actionable reports and recommendations for the efficient and effective deployment of police resources. Intelligence information rendered through OSINT (Open-Source Intelligence) investigations was provided across police units to help stop, prevent and solve crime. Certified geographical profiling analyst. Utilized ESRI to visualize crime data. Recognized for the development of and implementation of impactful communications and social media strategies. Recipient of the Chief's P.R.I.D.E award for "People Really Interested in Delivering Excellence". Recipient of the Crime Stoppers Colin Millar award for community work and ongoing volunteer contributions. Proud to have been recognized for many milestones over a 12 year policing career.
