I have the opportunity to lead a team of very smart industry and technology specialists to drive change in some challenging industries, some of which have not changed at the core in decades. My role at Mtivity, a Start Up in London, started as an Interface Developer but very quickly evolved into the position of Technical Lead and further into the role of Product Development Manager and Technical Architect. The Mtivity product was a Marketing Resource Management tool to simplify management and workflow of marketing campaigns, it also provides brand management and financial tracking. Mtivity used an Software as a Service (SaaS) model to provide a B2B application aimed at improving collaboration within the highly fragmented marketing industry. The Mtivity Workflow allowed marketing agencies to centrally manage marketing projects using an electronic Job Bag, managing assets, tasks and financials. The Mtivity Plus application provides a way to managing marketing assets and corporate brand through cutting-edge use of Adobe PDF templates providing customisable print-ready marketing collateral.
My role at JBWere began in the application support area with the aim of establishing an effective second level Web Support team. This team was to support, fix and improve the extensive online trading application provided by the company. Establishing the team involved setting up procedures, priorities and communication lines. It also involved mentoring and training four new team members. From this role I moved into a Web developer role where I worked as part of a team using ColdFusion to expand and enhance the online stock information and trading application.
Spatial Connection was a self-run Web Development and Web solutions company. The company specialised in providing solutions for small business and sporting clubs. While running the company I produced numerous dynamic applications for amateur sports clubs around Melbourne. I also constructed proof of concept and full applications for Web start-ups. The company was successful and profitable for its life.
