The Open Mainframe Project is a Linux Foundation collaborative project, currently 34 organizations are part of the project. Bootstrapped the effort within IBM to get this collaborative project off the ground, and worked with the Linux Foundation to get the charter and articles of association in place, the governance structure, funding models and recruiting the 13 founding members. Also involved with getting the website, logo and value proposition in place as well as establishing the social media presence. For the first 5-months of the project I served as the interim Project Chairperson. Now lead the marketing committee and drive the promotion of the project.
