Developed a comprehensive fire alarm testing system by collaborating with the vendor in creating a systematic verification inspection of the fire protection system. Assist the Plant Manager with maintaining the logs and required documentation for the EOC committee and Joint Commission standards. Supervised the installation and verification of the replacement a complete regulatory way finding and room identification signage program for the facility. Inspection of all life safety systems for compliance with The Joint Commission, State (AHCA), and local regulating agency standards. Scheduling the testing and repairs of any system not in compliance with the standards. Directing the issuance of above the ceiling work permits and the final inspections of the work completed by the vendors. Verify vendors’ compliance for proper fire/smoke mitigation requirements. Instrumental in the testing, operating and perfecting of the Building Maintenance Program (BMP)/Life Safety program with the vendors such as Advanced Technologies Group and Four Rivers work order system programs. Responsible for scheduling and testing of waste water system, and working with South Florida Waste Water Management, City of Delray Beach, and water testing vendors. Responsible for the maintaining the central plant to include: emergency power generators, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, medical air system, and the medical vacuum system. Assist with the general maintenance throughout the facility as required. Assume the supervisors’ role in his absence.
Provided repairs and maintenance to the hospital facility and organize and prioritize work orders issued by the office. Responsible for the operation of the physical plant on the night shift, which includes emergency power generators, chillers, boilers system, mechanical air, and vacuum systems. This also included contacting appropriate service companies for needed maintenance and service. Also was responsible for changing various gas bottle systems when required.
Provided maintenance services at a twenty-seven bed skilled nursing facility. Maintained service contracts with outside venders for compliance of local, AHCA, JC (Joint Commission), and federal guidelines. Directed the associates of the housekeeping department. Verified associates time punches in Kronos system, completed annual evaluations, and annual competencies of housekeeping associates. Presented semi-annual life-safety and Right to Know information at associate's in-services. Conducted semi-annual disaster drills as required by JC and AHCA. Conducted unannounced monthly fire drills. Performed security oversight to the facility on a daily basis. Maintained proper records for the Environment of Care committee and attended safety committee meetings as needed. Assisted the Administrator with office related tasks.
