The one thing that excites me the most is solving problems that have no answer. I am passionate about taking a problem, breaking it down into manageable parts, and utilizing the resources around to me to find a solution. This passion of mine is rooted in my unconscious thought process that I’ve developed from living with a severe-to-profound hearing loss in both ears since I was five years old. Since the day I lost my hearing, I’ve had to solve problems in my life that have no answer. The best way to explain this is through when I played competitive soccer. I did not have the advantage of hearing my teammates call for the ball when I received a pass. My thought process had to be continually refined over time to take account of the players on the field, the location I would receive the ball, the location that my teammates would be in to receive the pass from me, and then once I made the pass, how could I put myself in a position to help the team in the long run? This process was executed thousands of times, always refining, learning, and reiterating what the best course of action would be. I am currently using these skills to build out SORD Fishing Products, a company built for those who are batsh*t crazy about fishing and dream every day about getting out to 'where the map turns blue.'     The Carolina Kids Fish Program is a program that was born from three of my biggest passions: fishing, working with kids, and teaching. This program teaches elementary and middle school kids in the Greater Myrtle Beach Area the basics of fishing such as casting, knot tying, tackle, and conservation.
