Focused on production capabilities and new markets LEAN MANAGEMENT Improved First Article and Lean processes to strengthen product performance, shorten lead times, increase yield, and improve on-time delivery. SALES GROWTH Increased sales 20% to $50M, in part by expanding into military and aerospace markets, while instituting strategic stocking and distribution plans for turbine engine, mining and refinery products. RECORD SETTING WINS Acquired and completed the largest refinery order in MetalTek history, while meeting all requirements for product performance and on-time delivery. CUSTOMER SATISFACTION Strengthened customer satisfaction by achieving 99% quality performance for all customers and 100% compliance in nuclear power and electric boat including navy sub safe applications. LONG TERM PROFITABLE GROWTH Successfully maintained profitability, when oil prices decreased from $110 to $30 per barrel, resulting in 50% sales contraction. Reduced labor and sourced content 66% and cut variable spending 50%. WORKFORCE MANAGEMENT Created an engaged workforce to raise retention above 90% and reduced OSHA rate from 5.5 to 1.9 – achieving one million hours worked without a lost-time incident.

MARGIN GROWTH Improved gross margins from $500K to $25M annually, through introducing customer stratification programs and by instituting strategic supplier partnerships, implementing design-for-manufacturability practices, reengineering products, rationalizing product lines, and executing capital investments to automate the operations. OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY Optimized efficiencies by reducing forging staffing from 150 on three shifts to 100 on two, increasing production from $25M to $100M, respectively. CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS Gained 48 concessions from USW though contract negotiations. COST REDUCTION STRATEGIES Reduced material purchase price 8%, labor content 38% and overhead 2.5%.
