Steven and his twin brother Lorne have been working in the construction industry since 1984, after graduating from McGill University with degrees in Civil Engineering. They founded Proforma Construction in 1992 and Construx Building Corporation in 2005. Steven oversees the general contracting aspect of Construx’s work, managing the design, engineering and construction of the company’s projects and working with his team of construction professionals to manage and execute all of Construx’s client contracts. As CEO, Steven is responsible for ensuring that Construx’s day-to-day operations deliver on the company’s core values of collaboration, creativity and use of technology. He leads the Construx team in blending those values with engineering how-to and proven construction expertise in order to meet the company’s mission of designing and building real estate that surpasses customer expectations on all fronts. Steven and his brother are passionate about buildings - both their design and functionality. They are supported in their work by a strong team of construction professionals who have completed contracts for some of the country’s most impressive clients, including Caprion Pharmaceuticals, Future Shop, Cineplex Odeon Entertainment, Public Storage, SmartCentres, Walmart, Home Depot, Brault & Martineau, Leon’s Furniture, Ben & Jerry’s, Canadian Tire, Pharmaprix, Tim Horton’s and Provigo.
