• Day to day management of the project. • Facilitate the preparation of the Scientific and Financial Reports. • To assemble the financial and annual reports. • Organisation of larger annual meetings and symposiums ranging from one to two days. • Organisation of training workshops ranging from one to two days. • Organisation of the mid-term review for the project. • Organisation of meetings via telephone or in conference rooms. • Writing minutes for project meetings, workshops and symposiums. • Ensuring project deliverables have been sent on time. • Maintenance of the project website and ensuring that the website is up to date. • Administer the mobility program. Communication with partners and the EU to resolve issues
• Responsible for the initial integration of the SNPlex platform involving adapting protocol to the environmental conditions at the Institut Genomique. • Managing on a daily basis the high throughput production on the platform including rapid trouble shooting and high reactivity to any problems that arise. • Training and management of technicians including regular group meetings to discuss and solve any issues. • Regular communication with the DNA Bank, Production technicians and Quality Control team to ensure quick and efficient running of the production process. • Testing new protocol and software updates related to the SNPlex protocol, requiring regular meetings with R&D personnel from Applied Biosystems. • Attending annual SNPlex user meetings to interact and discuss with other users various product issues and future product developments.
• Multiplex PCR optimizations on the LMS2 Applied Biosystems microsatellite marker panels. • Testing gel based and capillary based DNA analysers including 377, 3100, 3700, 3730xl (Applied Biosystems) and MegaBace (Amersham Biosciences) and thus readjusting and reoptimising existing protocols. • Analysing subsequent results using a plethora of software including Genescan, Genotyper and Genemapper. • Training and transferring various protocols to the production team. • Selecting, developing and optimising a set of in-house microsatellite marker panels to increase genome coverage. • Automation of GenomHIP technology at Integragen using the Sciclone 3000 automat.
• Worked on the BRIGHT project for Dr. Mark Caulfield involving: • DNA Extraction of blood samples, Genotyping and analysis of extracted DNA samples
