About

During his education at the film academy, Steven Janssens also finished his studies as an engineer specialized in chemistry. In the years that followed he built a career as an independent filmmaker, freelance editor, producer and director. He directed and produced CRAZY MONEY, the film about the pilot village in Western Uganda where each inhabitant received a basic income for two years, money without conditions. He is currently the director of EIGHT, operating basic income projects in Uganda, DR Congo and Ivory Coast. In 2024 he released his second feature documentary: "BLIND SPOTS", and in 2025 his third feature documentary: "FLY - beyond the spectrum" came out.
