Steven Hildemann, M.D., Ph.D. Serves as Operating Partner at ARMIRA-PE Munich, independant director at G&L-Healthcare Advisors, London UK, and Cellprothera, France. He is an active Professor of Medicine at the University of Freiburg, Germany. Stevens career in healthcare spans 30+ years’ of experience in Academic Medicine (10+ y) and Biopharma (25+ y) with a decade in transformational CMO roles at Merck and Ipsen. He is a board-certified Internist and Cardiologist with broad clinical training in Oncology, Pulmonology and Emegency Medicine at University Hospitals in Munich. He led multiple clinical trials as an investigator and broader scientific advancements as an opinion leader. Steven joined Biopharma in 1998. He served in roles of increasing responsibility at global, regional and local level in Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, Patient Safety and Patient Affairs. As EVP and Chief Medical Officer at Ipsen, Steven designed, led and fully implemented a deep transformation of Global Medical Affairs and Global Patient Safety, putting data-driven insights at the core of the French mid-cap’s medical efforts [J. Pharm. Med., 2022]. He also served on the Board of the French biotech GENFIT. As global CMO for Merck, he built and led GMA and GPS. In 2019-2020 Steven co-built a start-up-joint venture (Palantir/Merck) for a pre-commercial deep data sharing platform in Oncology (Syntropy), establishing foundational Digital Ethics. He co-developed and launched multiple innovative therapies in Immuno-Oncology, Neurology and CV. Steven has published >50 publications: 40+ peer review articles, book chapters, guidelines/guidance documents and countless presentations across current scientific, medical, bioethical and public health topics. He is elected Fellow (FESC) and member of renowned scientific societies (ASCO, DGK, GDIM).
