As a Certified Industrial Hygienist and Certified Safety Professional, I have developed Corporate HSE Plans and Procedures and have experience in Process Safety Management for industrial projects to include refineries, oil production rigs, chemical and pharmaceutical plants, construction, infrastructure, nuclear sites, and general industry. I have expert knowledge in the Environmental and Occupational Safety Regulations in the US, and a proven track-record in reduction in work-related accidents, injuries, and illnesses. I have developed Behavior Based Safety Programs and Safety Training Programs. Additional specific skills include: Construction Safety, Laboratory safety, Contractor Management, Security, Emergency planning, Fire Protection, and Industrial vehicles and equipment safe work practices. I personally designed the Confined Space program for the Pentagon and FAA while with Lockheed Martin and have performed process hazard analysis, incident investigations, and root cause analysis (TapRoot) for ExxonMobil and UXB International.
Responsible for coordination and implementation of Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) integrated HSE and Quality Management Systems for Technip as the Project Management Consultant directing EPC contractors on over $500M contracts for New Water Center and Oil Gathering Center construction. Reporting to the Lead Country Manager/Projects Director. Duties include staffing and budgeting for projects, Project Management Plan development for QHSE, planning QA/QC and HSE audits, statistical reporting and maintenance, Interfacing with KOC QHSE department, Leading HSE incident investigations and Quality investigations. Inspecting contractor and supplier sites, Promotes and implements Technip Quarts and Pulse (Quality and HSE programs, respectively) for continuous improvement, best practices, and feedback. Interface with local statutory and KOC QHSE department entities for QHSE issues. More than 3 million man-hours without a lost time incident.
Provided management assistance to the Medicine and Occupational Health Department of ExxonMobil (EMDC)(Over $100M). Provides technical oversight of Industrial Hygiene Services including administrative responsibility for IH field technicians. Organize and supervise the implementation of the Occupational Health Programs. Develops recommendations for the control of occupational health hazards present in the workplace to mitigate identified significant health risks resulting from project activities. Interface with NGO’s, Co-Venture partners, operations support team members and other organizations for the successful deployment and execution of Occupational Health Programs. Identify health interventions required by lenders and ExxonMobil and prioritize in Health and Industrial Hygiene execution plans. Work with organizations to formulate action plans for individual mitigation initiative which include scope, objectives, milestones, timelines and costs associated with these plans. Provide periodic reviews of progress of organizations in meeting milestone and budgetary goals.
