Los Alamos, New Mexico, United States
I was born in Nantou Taiwan where I was adopted at the age of five and moved to Colorado for my first 10 years. After moving to New Mexico, I became passionate about photography, theater technology, science, and engineering. I volunteer for organizations such as the Boy Scouts of America and the Los Alamos Rotary Club in my free time. I currently work at Los Alamos National Laboratory in Detonator Productions division exploring my dream career of becoming an engineer. I test different designs and products while creating innovative solutions to different engineering problems. While at LANL, I have learned skills such as MATLAB, Visual Basic for Applications, SOLIDWORKS, Microsoft Suite, and Statistical Analysis. I have loved every moment at LANL and I hope to expand my horizons as a future engineer.
Working as an Undergraduate Intern in Detonator Productions (DP-2) creating and modeling current detonators. While modeling current detonators, tested current epoxing methods, analyzed production capability, and modeled CPK values.
An Undergraduate Student for Weapons Stockpile Modernization (Q-DO) working on a heat transfer code that predicts the thermal profile through a composite material.
At EPICS Global Air Quality Trekkers, I focused on designing and prototyping personalized air purifiers aimed at improving air quality in local libraries. My role involved collaborating with diverse teams to integrate various components and continuously refining designs based on feedback from testing and industry reviews. This experience honed my skills in design engineering and teamwork.
Used Fusion360, Autocad, and Solidworks to model and design a deployable dipole antenna for a 1.5U CubeSat performing a technology demonstration of a drag deorbiting device through partnership with California Polytechnic State University.
