After working as a warehouse associate for one year, our staff moved to an off-site warehouse where I was given the title of warehouse manager. This role included receiving and organizing freight both in the warehouse and in STORIS - our computer program, prepping deliveries for the upcoming weeks, assigning duties and responsibilities for warehouse associates, training new employees, managing inventory counts, communicating with our new and returning customers to schedule deliveries, and following up with manufacturers and consumers to complete the warranty process. To shorten, my responsibility in this role was to ensure each day ran smoothly in the warehouse and with individual customers following the original sale.
Worked in retail sales dealing with outdoor recreation, sports, and fitness equipment and apparel. I primarily worked as a head cashier where my responsibilities included assisting customers, handling complex transactions, training new employees, and leading morning meetings to ensure our cashier team was well prepared to meet and surpass company sales goals.
I worked for nearly three years as an in-home behavioral therapist for children with Autism. Sessions consisted of fast-paced and often unpredictable one-on-one time with children from ages two to eighteen to develop motor, social, and cognitive skills. Each child had a different list of goals which ranged anywhere from non-verbal communication skills to interview preparation.
Worked at Ross: Dress for Less for six months while attending Blue Ridge Community College. This job included running the cash register, assisting customers as a sales-floor associate, receiving and tagging shipments in the stockroom, and reorganizing, when needed, to add new merchandise to the sales floor.
