I am a mature minded and highly motivated person who's currently serving in my 16th year in the Royal Australian Navy posted to HMAS Submarines. In my role as a member of the engineering department, my field of expertise covers mechanical fitting, electrical fitting, and as an operator. During this time I have conducted preventative & corrective maintenance procedures, fault diagnosis in both mechanical and electrical services, confined space entries (not civil accredited), and procedures to maintain the safety and capability of the submarine. By working in a high intensity environment I am able to safely assess situations and conduct hazardous risk assessments (take 5). I am confident in working in demanding situations safely, and completing task on time and on budget. My current role is as an instructor at the submarine school with a certificate IV in training and assessment.
