We are creating a new future for STEM education. We are creating PBL pathways using the latest technologies such as 3D printing, embedded processors, and programming. We constantly hear parents tell us that they can't believe how much their kids learned in such a short amount of time... But we are just getting started. Kids are superheroes. They are capable of so much more than we give them credit for. I want to probe the outer limits of what teens can really accomplish. Let's talk more about the possibilities.

Dental Research. Biomedical research. Product development and intellectual property. As a physicist in a biomedical environment, I became aware of the major challenges facing medicine and dentistry. I see many possibilities on the fringes of the medical consciousness that are years from practical use--not because they aren't currently viable solutions but rather because few within the medical field are willing to link arms with physicists and engineers to probe the boundaries of the possible. I loved learning about histology, biofilms, biochemistry, and a host of other biological topics and am quite convinced that the frontiers of science in the coming years will be on the borders between biomedical technology and applied physics and engineering.
Laser research and development. High energy fiber lasers, other high energy waveguide lasers, beam combining techniques, atmospheric transmission. Program management, project planning, proposal writing, proposal evaluation and selection, steering committees, and SBIR topic submissions.
