Oversee the departmental activities including: • Hire, train, and supervise FT and PT faculty, staff, and teaching assistants • Recruit students, facilitate auditions, and maintain equipment and instruments • Facilitate university performances and engage in community relations Highlights/Accomplishments: • Revise old curriculum and set new vision • Established 3 new concentrations: Worship Arts, Music Business, Music Technology & Media • Revised the curriculum of Music Education and Music Performance concentrations • Eliminated 36 units of courses in existing concentrations to reduce under-enrolled courses and unnecessary staffing • Grew choral ensembles by 500% • Brought in 7 new adjunct faculty • Created four new student teaching assistant positions: Executive Teaching Assistant, Ensemble Assistant, Music Theory Assistant, and Social Media and Technology Assistant • Revitalized the social media marketing strategies and teams for Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube • Revitalized the 8-voice community choir to a 100-voice Symphonic Choir that sings with professional and community symphony orchestras • Created MOU with Agents, Universities, High Schools, and Alternative Schools in Korea for partnership • Established partnership with local high schools, churches, and colleges and course loads and contents • Created three new worship bands responsible for tour and chapel worship • Established an artist-in-residence series and brought in notable artists from Thailand, Korea, France, and New York. • Redesigned the classrooms, studio, office spaces in the music department • Currently designing new courses with Business, Communications, and Theology departments for 2022 including: Music Entrepreneurship, Social Media Marketing, and Worship Matters
