I was born and raised in Kuwait, where I also completed my higher secondary education before embarking on an exciting journey to India for my Bachelor’s in Business Administration (BBA). One of my fondest memories from school is the parent-teacher meetings. Without fail, my teachers would tell my parents, "Steve is the most talkative and hyper-energetic child in the class." This energy and talkativeness translated into strong oral communication skills, making me adept at connecting with people. I have an extremely inquisitive nature; to a point where growing up, I would dismantle every gadget/toy and ask questions to understand how and why they work the way they do. This curiosity has been a driving force in my life. I have a diverse range of interests. I love to read, cook, exercise, travel, and, perhaps most importantly, sleep. On the flip side, I can’t stand judgmental and cocky people. If you're kind, I'll go out of my way to help you. I believe in treating everyone with respect and dignity, but in a professional setting, my respect is demanded, not earned. People often mistake my assertiveness for rudeness, but I see it as a commitment to honesty and efficiency.
As an Executive Assistant at Baywatch Resort & Spa, I efficiently managed senior executives' schedules, correspondence, and administrative tasks. I acted as a key liaison between the executive team and various departments, ensuring seamless communication and coordination. As a pizza chef, I excel in preparing delicious woodfired pizzas, mastering dough making, sauce preparation, and ingredient selection to ensure every pizza is a culinary delight. My expertise in managing the woodfired oven guarantees that each pizza is perfectly cooked, boasting authentic flavors that our customers love. As a supervisor, I took on additional responsibilities that ensured the smooth operation of the restaurant. I prioritize responsibilities like quality control, ensuring every dish meets our high standards for taste and presentation. I also manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain cost efficiency to minimize waste. Working as a pizza chef and restaurant supervisor at Firestone Woodfired Pizza has been a deeply rewarding experience. One of the highlights of my job has been receiving positive feedback from our customers. During my internship at Beleza by the Beach, I worked on an in-depth project titled "Role of Sales in Decision Making." This project aimed to explore how sales strategies and insights influence critical business decisions within the hospitality industry. The project was a learning experience and a chance to contribute meaningfully to the hotel's operations. I defined objectives to identify key sales metrics, analyze decision-making processes, evaluate sales strategies, and provide actionable recommendations. Data collection involved analyzing sales reports, reviewing customer feedback, and conducting interviews with various department members. Key findings showed that metrics like occupancy rates and revenue per available room (RevPAR) influenced pricing decisions, customer feedback shaped marketing strategies, and sales data-informed operational improvements. The "Role of Sales in Decision Making" project was a pivotal part of my internship at Beleza by the Beach. It provided me with a comprehensive understanding of how sales data and strategies influence business decisions in the hospitality industry. The project not only allowed me to apply my academic knowledge in a real-world setting but also contributed valuable insights to the hotel’s operations.
