I run my own agentic AI processes alongside proper engineering discipline to deliver faster without cutting corners on quality or architecture. But AI can also make things worse and slower if nobody understands the problem well enough to steer it. That's the bit that still needs experience, judgement, and knowing how to work with people. As Director of Products and Services, I provide vision and strategic direction to successfully enable all technical teams in the company to effectively manage product development, professional services (modern work, development, and security), pre-sales, and support. I liaise and work closely with the Managing Director and Chairman to develop enterprise strategies for technology and information management. In addition, I provide technical advice as a solutions architect for both products and bespoke client projects while ensuring all IT projects meet business objectives. I also lead IT project management, including developing software, applications, products, and subscription-based services. Senior developer working on projects for multiple clients across many business sectors. Working primarily with SharePoint on-prem and online (Office 365/SPO) and Azure based projects. Incorporating the SharePoint Patterns and Practices (PnP) into most solutions both the provisioning engine and the general framework. Working remotely and visiting clients when required for general consulting, design meetings, deployment and UAT. Most recently responsible for the design and development of our first product. A SharePoint "Intranet in a box" solution. Primarily targeted at SharePoint Online, incorporating other components of Office 365 with the Unified API. This is a broad project containing as much automated configuration of SharePoint as custom code for specific add-ins to provide additional functionality/features. Working primarily in C# as the server side language. Incorporating many Azure services into solutions e.g. Authentication, KeyVault, Webjobs, Storage, schedules etc. Leverage the SP PnP framework in almost all project for both provisioning and general development. Almost all client side code written in Typescript. Leverage many JS frameworks (where feasible) e.g. React, Angular, jQuery, knockout. Not a designer, but do produce any design in HTML and CSS and a have a good enough eye that I'm often responsible for the UI when function with a little glitz comes ahead of all out fancy!
