As a company previously known as USi; Then acquired by AT&T my role of responsibilities included: SME (Subject Matter Expert): • Enterasys Dragon IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems) • RSA SecurID Management (Two-Factor Authentication | Servers / Tokens, Tier III support) • Nessus Vulnerability / Penetration Scanning. • Microsoft MBSA (Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer) • SharePoint primary administrator for the group • Data Repository and safe guarding for multiple instances Roles also included: • Becoming the SME for Foundstone : MVM (McAffee Vulnerability Manager) • Lead and/or Co-Lead on transitional practices / products such as Trustwave Security Intellitactics • Deep Packet Inspection which involved determination verse risk, assessment, action • Internal and client password cracking ensuring proper methods were utilized • Compliance scans to client systems (Microsoft, Linux, Solaris, HPUX, etc.) • External to Internet facing vulnerability scans • Completion of security clearances for government contracts (DOI | FISSA, FISSA+, RBST) • Audit documentation with results provided to clients monthly, quarterly, and yearly depending on client contracts. • Determination of pass / fail security requirements of systems prior to going into production.
Notable Accomplishments: • Fort Gordon, GA - During AIT (Advanced Individual Training) was awarded as the Honor Graduate | Awarded after the completion of Communications Support Specialist (31U) MOS (Military Occupational Specialty). This is only given to one individual who is the top of his class and maintains over 90% on all testing criteria and zero absence). This MOS is a 680+ hours of training time and can be used towards college credits. • Fort Benning, GA - Volunteered and graduated at the top of my class with a zero fail rate during Paratrooper Training while also being appointed Squad Leader. • Fort Bragg, NC - Received the rank of Corporal in less than 1.5 years from initial entry. (A Corporal in the Army is a position of leadership and only obtained / awarded by recognized distinction of Senior Leaders). - Top Secret Clearance (SCI) – Requirement to fulfill employment obligations as communications, cryptography, technology, and security we’re primary functions. - Received extra pay allowances for maintaining a minimum two hour to deployment, being classified as a combat arms solider, and a paratrooper. - Awarded foreign "wings" for training and completing airborne missions with paratroopers of allied nations. - Received numerous medals and awards ending my fulfillment with Honorably Discharged.
