As Head of Finance, I significantly upgraded the Finance function and improved all aspects of reporting and introduced and developed better working practices and internal controls to strengthen the company further. Accounting, management information, financial modelling and forecasting were improved which created a better understanding of the business on how it was performing.

The company had grown significantly when I joined Symec and I successfully improved and updated the Finance function such that it was fit for purpose for the future. A reliable monthly accounting and management information and KPI suite was introduced to give the executive team a better understanding of business performance and financial disciplines and improved working practices were introduced to make the company more robust. Additionally, working capital management was reviewed and improved and cost savings and efficiencies identified to ensure profitability improved.
