About

From being an Apprentice Panel Wireman with Sutton Riley Engineering Ltd I progressed to the position of Applications Engineer / Tendering Engineer and also managed projects in Dubai, Abu-Dhabi and Al-Ain, UAE.. With AF Switchgear & Control Panels Ltd I developed and project managed the manufacture and commissioning of containerised Generator and Switchgear packages for Railtrack, the manufacture and installation of LV distribution switchgear into internet hosting sites and data centres in the UK and Europe Then joined Eaton Electric (brands included Delta switchgear, Bill Switchgear and MEM) as the Senior Applications Engineer in their Birmingham LV systems division. I embarked on a new challenge with EPC-UK (formally Exchem Explosives) as a Project Manager being responsible for the design, Installation and commissioning of a new automated process line manufacturing commercial grade explosives in a plant in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. I also provided support for projects in Romania and a secondment to an EPC facility in Essex. I then joined 3 phase design as a Technical Engineer in 2010 providing consultancy, training and technical support to LV Switchgear manufacturers engaged in product compliance testing to the IEC61439 series of standards, including technical support at test laboratories in the UK and Europe..
