RADIO IS MY PASSION Specialties: turning around under-performing radio stations, ability to recognize and hire highly talented individuals, team building and non-traditional revenue generation WHAT THOSE I'VE WORKED WITH SAY ABOUT ME "When I arrived in New York as GM, Steve was part of the 'PLJ Sales team and he quickly impressed me and everyone with his brain, his wit, his work ethic and (this will sound corny) his enthusiasm. His team building ability, his spirit and genuine passion for WPLJ was infectious. I promoted Steve numerous times over our many years together (NSM/LSM/GSM/DOS/Station Manager/GM) and his consistant, market-leading performance made each decision easier than the one before" Mitch Dolan, COO Times Shamrock Communications, former President of the ABC Radio Group "Steve Borneman and the late Bob Sherman are the two most exceptional general managers I ever worked for. I would give the edge to Borneman as he didn't always threaten to beat me up. Steve is accomplished and enthusiastic, bringing an effusive, infectious energy to the radio station every morning. I loved working for him. Everyone did" Don Imus, National Host "I've had the privilege of working with Steve for more than 20 years at WPLJ-FM. During my career, I’ve worked with many good and not-so-good managers all around the country. Steve doesn’t belong in either category. He’s simply among the best. Steve lives and breathes radio. If you’re looking for a leader who brings passion and deep knowledge about all aspects of broadcasting, he’s your guy" Scott Shannon, former WPLJ Program Director / Morning Show Host WCBS-FM New York I loved working with Steve everyday. His passion for radio is second to none. He has an incredible work ethic, coupled with a unique ability to bring the best out of people. I am convinced he would purposefully try and get me worked up on topics before show time, just to give me that extra edge. A rare extraordinary leader. Sean Hannity, National Host
