Experienced technology executive and entrepreneur. Founder or co-Founder of four technology companies. Experience includes building teams and architectures leading to products that solved problems in the Internet Routing and switching, Internet security, data analysis and compliance markets. My most recent accomplishment was designing a new system for analyzing messages and other communication data related to financial transactions. My team and I produced an entirely new analytic engine and the surrounding infrastructure to support the analysis of 70 million communications a day. This work was accomplished by my team in a short time frame for one of the finest and most well-known companies in the financial market space. My teams built an entirely new compliance system that enhanced the scale and reliability of the previous system by orders of magnitude. This system is now providing continuous surveillance of communications data related to financial transactions and providing this service for some of the most prestigious financial institutions in the world. Currently Founder and President of MaxCogito, Inc. a company dedicated to providing insight, analysis and control of communication data flowing through enterprise and financial networks. Finding valuable insights in data moving on enterprise and financial networks and providing tools to properly secure and manage these data is the mission of the new company. Responsible for all analytics and applications in the compliance portfolio for Bloomberg LP's Bvault business unit. This entails managing SW development teams in both New York City and Cambridge MA. The analytic applications involve real-time surveillance of millions of messages, voice calls and trade records every day. Responsible also for all analytics applications that are operated at customer sites performing real time analysis of customer data on communications and file systems. Technologies that are involved include: Cassandra, Apache Spark, Kafka, and Accumulo systems (among others). All applications run in a multiple data center environment in active-active mode (constant uptime). Responsible for architecture, design and scalability of all technologies required to support the analytic environment.
Bloomberg Laboratories is a forward looking development center supporting the Bloomberg L.P. Bvault business unit and the Bloomberg Core Terminal Products group. We develop products that utilize "Big Data" analytic technologies and algorithms to allow our customers to view trends within their data and within their business and trading operations. The laboratory builds cutting-edge infrastructure and products that support applications across a number of businesses within the Bloomberg Core Terminal Products group. The mission of Bloomberg Laboratories includes a charter to identify and utilize new technologies and then integrate them into the product lines of the Bloomberg Core Terminal group.

Digital Reef Inc. is a company I founded for the purpose of making it much easier for corporations, consultants, service providers and government entities to manage electronic discovery and litigation matters. Digital Reef became the fastest and most efficient method of processing and analyzing large amounts of data and getting it into a legal review platform rapidly.
