Strong professional skills in Operations, previous SRO and RO licence holder, performance improvement, QA, licensing and training. Started up BNPP from construction to Commercial Power operation in various roles. Also worked for the national nuclear regulator developing and implementing operating staff licensing and a site office/project structure.
Nuclear Professional in ENEC subsidiary
Responsible for management of the training department that contolled all aspects of Training at Dungeness B Nuclear Power Station, which employed approx 1200 staff and 400 contractors on a full time basis. Also performed roles of emergency director and outage manager on a rotation basis.
During this time I was an SRO instructor, Head of Licensed Operator Requlaification Training, Lead examiner and examination developer of the RO and SRO Operator licensing Examinations. I was also involved running my own company that sub contracted to provide support to the Upgrade Technical Specification Project.
Started as Senior Licence Operator examiner and then Head of Operator licensing to Deputy Project Manager where I was responsible for day to day operation of the Nuclear Regulators interaction with Koeberg Nuclear Power Station
