Founded in 2010 by CEO Ruth Fettes, Cobras Basketball Club aimed to introduce basketball to children of all skill levels in Bracknell. Ruth’s vision was to create a safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment for kids to enjoy the game. Since then, the club has grown, with teams from under-8s in CVL to under-18s in the National League, and adult teams in the Wessex and National Leagues. Cobras players have gone on to BBL academies and U18s have earned college opportunities in the USA. We’ve expanded to Slough, aiming to replicate this success.
Purchased business in August 2020 and changed business name to My Floral Events for a short time. Merged this business into my existing business My Floral Wreaths as of 1st March 2021
Returned to the role after maternity leave just as Covid-19 started, relinquished my senior position to accommodate my family. I then left due to redundancy during the pandemic.
Responsible for running a small team, Performance reviews and regular 121’s. Rota planning, Holiday leave, Sickness. Reviewing complex accounts, providing a higher level of sign off for exceptions. Implementing and testing new systems. Delivering new processes to my team and others around the business. Running of the day to day work loads and client onboarding. Mentoring and coaching new & existing team members. Provide overviews of my department to other members of the business.
Compliance & Transaction Monitoring. Responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements e.g anti-money laundering / Know your Customer checks. Review all potential HMT/OFAC sanctions and PEP referrals, Conduct enhanced due diligence activities. Deliver internal & external complex communications (Written & Verbal) Provide audit reviews on newly onboarded accounts and provide specific feedback in a professional manner.
