About

I trained as an animator, and along the way I discovered that the most valuable thing I could bring to a production wasn't what I could make, it was understanding what everyone else was making and helping them do it better. At Rocket Science VFX I worked on Gen V (Prime Video) as the sole production coordinator across DMP, Layout, Animation, and Compositing. I managed schedules, tracked deliverables, helped with IO coordination with third-party vendors, and attended daily department meetings across four disciplines. But what I'm most proud of is knowing my crew well enough to spot an opportunity when one appeared. An intern I'd worked with closely on training had been quietly completing compositing coursework alongside his DMP work. When we found ourselves ahead of schedule and short on compositors, I advocated for him to comp a shot he'd already painted. The comp lead gave him extra support, the shot came out beautifully, and it ended up in the first-look teaser trailer for the show. That instinct (to know the people around you, trust them, and advocate for them) is what I think good coordination is actually about. Artists do better work when they feel supported and understood. I want to be the coordinator who makes that easier. My background is broader than most. Over a decade of customer service leadership at Booking.com (including a specialist escalation task force and an early AI chatbot pilot), followed by management roles across premium retail in London, gave me a foundation in calm communication, conflict resolution, and keeping things moving under pressure. Those skills didn't disappear when I walked into a VFX studio. They made me better at the job. My production microcredentials at Seneca Polytechnic, developed in collaboration with Smiley Guy Studios, have deepened my understanding of 2D pipelines and budgeting alongside my 3D background. I'm comfortable across both environments and actively looking for coordinator and operations roles in animation, VFX, and creative production in Toronto. If you're hiring or just want to connect, I'd be glad to hear from you. Banner image photographed by me. Oslo, Norway 2016

    2022 - 2023 · 1 yr

Projects: Gen V Sole production coordinator on Gen V (Prime Video), managing schedules and communication across DMP, Layout, Animation, and Compositing. I attended daily department meetings across four disciplines, handled IO coordination with third-party vendors, and kept things moving in an environment where being close to the artists wasn't a side effect of the job; it was the whole point. ● Managed production schedules and deliverable tracking across multiple departments on a Prime Video series. ● Handled IO coordination with external vendors on outsourced roto and matchmove work, compiling shot lists and supervisor notes on returned deliverables. ● Identified and advocated for an intern's readiness to take on compositing work beyond his DMP role; the shot he both painted and composited was selected for the show's first-look teaser trailer. ● Organized and scheduled department-wide training sessions, compiling and archiving recordings for later reference. ● Assigned and tracked training materials for a cohort of interns, building individual relationships that informed smarter crew decisions later in production.
