After years in software, I'm now running an Electronics recycling business in Charlottesville. ♻️ Excited to get down to business solving a tanglible problem locally in my community. I still love consulting and advising on SaaS Pricing, data, and ops topics especially for early and mid stage companies. Don't want all the knowledge I've accrued to go to waste! 😂
We recycle electronics for business and community members in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Currently, while employed elsewhere, I generally provide a few hours per month of data analytics, coaching, and analytics advisory services for SaaS businesses and Strategy and Analytics Leaders. Previously, while full time, I was helping a few companies accelerate their growth in various different phases of the acquisition funnel. Depending on the current company focus, it could be across any facet of acquisition, activation, retention, revenue, or referral. Example 1: Setup Analytics Infrastructure for several startups - Data Warehouse, ETL Tools, and KPI analytics dashboards for executive team Result: Team has greater insight into key metrics in their business! Now they're able to focus and improve key metrics. Example 2: Optimize referral program and landing pages for an upcoming crowdfunding campaign. Result: Crowdfunding campaign successfully raised $54,000 over 60 days. Example 3: Optimize a number of pages to encourage high-volume website traffic to submit a lead. Result: 100% increase in valid leads submitted. Example 4: Deep dive into product usage and retention events to help encourage upsell and reduce churn. Result: Strategy developed for upcoming months to encourage similar upsell paths. Example 5: Update automatic trial period lifecycle emails to feel more personal and less like a newsletter. Result: 75% increase in trial-to-paid conversion rate. HUGE win - worth tens of thousands of dollars in incremental revenue.
Ops at Flashbots is here to help ensure all of the incredible builders, researchers, and operators at Flashbots can do great work. Plus, you know, make sure we don't run out of money. Our primary focus is to enable a permissionless, transparent, and sustainable ecosystem for MEV, via a three-pronged approach: Illuminate: bringing transparency to MEV activity. Democratize: democratizing access to MEV revenue. Distribute: enabling sustainable distribution of MEV revenue.
The additional role I picked up during this time was as the Exec Sponsor of one of our Key Company Priorities. The Exec Sponsor was the Exec accountable for the crossfunctional initiative's success, spanning Product, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, and Ops. We rolled out some huge changes to our pricing and packaging in this time, as well as generated $10s of millions of incremental ARR.
We're a team of generalists and specialists that work wherever we can make the company more effective. We currently run company strategy and planning, strategic initiatives, pricing and packaging, and special projects. Some team highlights: - we incubated the sales team, scaling from 1 to 4 to 8, profitably: a key success influencing the decision to hire a CRO and build out sales for real. - we're leading the company's highest incremental ARR workstream in 2022 through Pricing and Packaging adjustments (projected to generate 3-5% full percentage points of incremental ARR this year) - stabilized and helped rebuild the recruiting function after major turnover - we developed and run the company Directly Responsible Individuals (DRI) program, accountable for the company's most important strategic initiatives
Sample of responsibilities: - running the company-wide OKR/MBR process - ran the company's first 3 year strategy process - shepherding annual planning - organizing all-hands talks - Facilitating Executive team meetings and processes
