Kensington, England, United Kingdom
My story involves a lot of rolling around on wheels. In a skatepark in South Lanarkshire Scotland, a company called Radworx were providing lessons skatepark lessons on Inline skates. After many years of attending these classes and getting involved in the company I began to volunteer as an instructor before I turned 17 when I was offered an Instructors job with them. After a few years of working with Radworx I was asked to work at a skatepark in East Kilbride. There I spent two years with the job description of simply "showing off" to encourage parents and kids from the neighbouring soft play area to come into the skatepark and spend their money. This opportunity gave me the chance to seriously improve my skating skills due to the free access I had to an indoor skatepark in rainy Scotland. After this I went to live in Oxfordshire, England to do some manual labour work with a friend. Due to this I was able to travel around different cities and skate with different people. This was my ticket to skate in London as it is not far from Oxford. London has so many opportunities for everyone and that includes me as a skater. In 2019 I was approached by Slick Willies Skate Store in London to be sponsored by the shop. This gave me access to free skating equipment. When the shop became super busy after the covid lockdown I was asked to come and work in the shop to help out. I now find myself handling their social media and searching for brands to stock in the shop. This of course gave me the opportunity to move to London in 2021. I am now currently handling the social media for Slick Willies, organising events and filming videos with the inline skate team. London's skating scene is huge and there is a demand for skating lessons all over the city. I started to teach with London Skate Life. I have been doing group and private classes in the capital until present. More recently in 2024 I became the instructors manager, making sure all the other instructors are performing the classes to our standard and helping them to perform their services. I also now handle the role of customer service by handling the customer emails for the club. Throughout all of this time, I have been filming videos using 360 cameras, phone cameras and DSLR cameras. I have so much experience filming dynamic fast moving skaters as well as capturing the landscapes and scene of a city to bulk up my videos. My youtube videos have gone from very basic skating videos to higher quality content that skating companies can use to promote their products. It's a wonderful life on wheels.

As an instructors manager I make sure all of the instructors queries are answered and I help them to organise and adjust their bookings through our booking system.
I teach private and group classes in and around London city centre. London Skate Life has created a huge community of skaters who are motivating more newcomers to join. We also organise skating events for our students to attend including overseas trips. We teach everything from first timers to experts and even specific disciplines like skatepark or slides.
We had 3 Labourers in a gang of around 10 bricklayers. Sometimes I would set up before the bricklayers came to the plot. Sometimes I would supply the mortar for them as they were working. Most frequently, as I was the youngest and most nimble, I would clean up the area after the work has been done whilst fixing little hard to reach areas.

I would simply skate in the skatepark to encourage others to come back and to try and lead people into the skatepark from the neighbouring soft play area. If needed I would help clean up some tables in the seating areas and sweep the skatepark.
