About

Most of the men I work with don’t look like they’re struggling. They’re capable, responsible, and outwardly holding things together. Yet underneath, many are carrying burnout, anger, numbness, shame, or a quiet sense of being lost. Some are navigating addiction recovery. Others are living with unresolved trauma. Many are simply exhausted from white-knuckling life. 🧭 Therapy, done differently My approach to 1-1 therapy is grounded, relational, and non-clinical. It’s about slowing things down, creating space, and exploring what’s really going on beneath the surface, without pressure, judgement, or labels. 🌿 Nature-based & movement-led A core part of my work takes place outside. Alongside online sessions, I offer Walk & Talk therapy and extended sessions in the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. Many men find it easier to open up side-by-side, in motion, and out in the world, rather than sitting face-to-face in a room. 🏔️ Stand Tall Empower CIC Alongside my therapy practice, I founded Stand Tall Empower CIC, a social enterprise creating the conditions for men to reconnect with their strength, capacity, and sense of direction through challenge, stillness, and connection in nature. Through our pay-it-forward model, organisations invest not only in their own teams, but also enable wider access for men whose lives and work have been shaped by service, responsibility, and contribution to society. The CIC reflects my belief that many men need different doorways into support, ones that feel practical, relational, and rooted in real-world connection. 🗣️ Men’s mental fitness advocacy I write regularly about men’s mental health, trauma, recovery, and connection, drawing on both my clinical work and lived experience. I also collaborate with organisations to deliver talks, workshops, and training on men’s mental fitness, emotional resilience, and wellbeing at work. 📩 Let’s talk If this resonates with you personally, or feels relevant for your organisation, you’re welcome to get in touch. I’m happy to have a short conversation to explore whether working together feels like a good fit. ✉️ For weekly reflections and practical insights on men’s mental health, you can subscribe to my newsletter.

In Therapy, many of the men I work with arrive feeling stuck. They're not always in crisis, but they're not really living either. On the outside, it looks like they’re holding it all together: work, family and responsibilities. Yet inside, they’re overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply numb. They’re not weak; they’re tired: Tired of feeling like they have to be the strong one. Tired of not being able to switch off. Tired of not knowing how to talk about what’s really going on inside. If this sounds like you, that’s where our work begins. Together, we walk a different path - one that isn’t about over-analysing the past or fixing you; but about reconnecting with your values; rebuilding trust in yourself; and learning how to live with greater clarity, strength, and purpose. Whether we’re talking or walking; online or outdoors I’ll meet you where you’re at. There’s no judgment and no jargon. There’s just a space where you can finally stop performing and start being real. This is about becoming the man you know you could be - one steady step at a time. Stand tall. You don’t have to do this alone.

I supported young men who identified with Autistic Spectrum Disorder to come to terms with the challenges which were hold them back and to face new opportunity with confidence. By giving them the space to feel accepted as themselves were able to work towards creating new opportunities and feel confident in their neurodivergence and the value of their individuality.
