Full–stack principal engineer with over 13 years of experience working on high performance real-time software within the fintech sector. I am focused on ensuring code quality and delivering high calibre software with automated test coverage. Most recently lead a team that delivered a greenfield realtime trading application. This was written in TypeScript and React Native, with C# services on the backend. Experienced in C# and .NET on the backend, and TypeScript, React, and React Native on the front end.
Technical lead across all of Axi’s UK software feature teams. Responsible for ensuring technical excellence and consistent processes across teams. Responsible for liaising with the dedicated architectural team to ensure that shared components fulfil feature teams’ needs, and identifying and conveying new shared needs from the feature teams to the architecture team. Technical lead on a new proprietary mobile trading application built in React Native, with app-specific C# services deployed in Azure AKS via Terraform and Flux. Tasked with building a new development team (c. 6 developers), defining technical processes, and ensuring code quality, best practices, and software quality. The application was successfully launched in just under a year. Ongoing feature improvements have been delivered at pace since, averaging a new release ≤ every 3 weeks. Additionally leveraged back-end skills to provide active development support to other teams, allowing them to meet business critical deadlines on their projects, while ensuring uninterrupted development of the proprietary trading application.
