My professional passions and strengths are architecture, planning and client service. Whether developing master plans or completing architectural projects, my goal is always to exceed my clients’ expectations for exceptional design, a well-managed process and execution of the final product. I’m enthusiastic about education as well, having served as Visiting Assistant Professor for the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign's Study Abroad Program at Versailles, France (now relocating to Barcelona, Spain) and other architecture programs in Boston and Chicago. I also have served for many years on the Board of Directors of ACE Mentor Chicago and am an active member of the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art. I exhibit my passion for architecture and landscape through my work in watercolor which can be found on my website and on Instagram: @stephendsiegle (painting and drawing) and @stephendsieglephoto (photography).
Founded in 1898, Berners Schober provides full architectural, engineering and building information management services for the Healthcare, Education, Community, Workplace and Cultural markets. From its offices in Green Bay, Wisconsin and Springfield, Illinois, the firm strives to "design with integrity and purpose" for its diverse clientele. During my tenure at BSA, I completed several planning and architectural design projects for cultural, institutional and government clients.
DLR Group is an integrated design firm delivering architecture, engineering, interiors, planning, and building optimization for new construction, renovation, and adaptive reuse. In my seller-doer role as Higher Education Client Leader for Illinois and neighboring states, I have supported business development, project management and design. I have also provided unit and floor planning for Multi-Family Residential projects.
During my tenure at Stantec, I led Architectural Design and Master Planning projects as well as Business Development efforts in the Higher Education and Multi-Family Residential markets. I also served as Vice Chairman and subsequently Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACE Mentor Chicago.
My work during fifteen years at VOA included Master Planning, Architectural Design and Business Development in the Higher Education and Multi-Family Residential markets. Starting in 2011, I served on the Board of Directors of the ACE Mentor Chicago program, which provides the opportunity for high school students to work with professional mentors from Architecture, Construction and Engineering.
