A graduate of the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, an acclaimed versatile and charismatic artist possessing a vast experience in both classical and crossover repertoire.

    After 12 years performing at La Scala Opera House in Milan, the Welsh tenor Stephen Mullan went on to enjoy much success performing principle roles and concert appearances in various parts of the globe. A graduate of the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, an acclaimed versatile and charismatic artist possessing a vast experience in both classical and crossover repertoire. Stephen has won numerous prizes, scholarships and competitions. In 2012 he was awarded the Album Prize at the Salzburg Voice Festival and made official soloist of the Mahler Philarmoniker in Vienna. Performed operatic roles include Calaf (Turandot), Radames (Aida), Cavaradossi (Tosca), Riccardo (Un Ballo in Maschera, Ruggiero (La Rondine), Turiddu (Cavalleria Rusticana), Rodolfo (La Bohème), Alfredo (La Traviata), Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly) and Don Jose (Carmen). A regular oratorio artist, he has performed more than 35 major works. Particularly remembered is Handel’s Messiah with the National Orchestra of Cuba at Teatro Roldan in Havana and also for Pope Benedict XVI birthday at San Giovanni in Laterano in Rome. Concert appearances include New Tang Dynasty TV Gala at Carnegie Hall, NY with tenor Marcello Giordani, Britten Serenade at Sala Verdi, Milan, Schumann Dichterliebe, Vienna, 100th Anniversary Gala of the Wagner Association at Teatro Calderon, Madrid in the presence of Eva Wagner, a tour of the Castles of Spain and recitals for the Barcelona / San Francisco twin city agreement at the Governor’s Mansion, Sacramento and at Hearst Castle in California. His solo engagements have also taken him to La Scala (Milan), Florence Opera, Opera Comique, Panama Opera, Melbourne City Opera, Sadlers Wells (London), Leopoldskron Palace (Salzburg), Altes Rathaus (Vienna), Ritz Carlton (Moscow), Montecarlo Beach Club and the festivals of Ravello, Euro Mediterraneo (Rome), Puccini (Torre del Lago) and Montblanc in Catalunya.
