I was born and raised in a small forestry town on Quebec's North Shore, with the Boreal wilderness at my front door and the Gulf of the St. Lawrence River at my back door. I began my forestry career working on provincial forest management plans in Ontario as a forester and data analyst, and migrated to the Canadian Forest Service at Natural Resources Canada. I've been involved in the domain of forest carbon accounting and management for over 2 decades, specifically with regards to NRCan's Carbon Budget Model of the Canadian Forest Sector (CBM-CFS3). I am the lead technical writer for software documentation related to the model, maintain and update CBM-CFS3 online self-guided training (previously held workshops in Canada and abroad with over 700 professionals trained), provide technical support for CBM-CFS3 users around the world, and now also provide documentation and training development, maintenance and technical support for the spatially explicit Generic Carbon Budget Model (GCBM).
