Chair CM UK, heart failure and transplantation patient advocate

About

With considerable experience of leadership, team building, problem solving, teaching and public speaking, my full-time working life was cut short following a diagnosis of cardiomyopathy (CM), and heart failure in 2005. My life was saved by a heart transplant in 2015. I am now committed to the causes of organ donation and transplantation and to supporting patients with cardiomyopathies and heart failure - as the Chair of the Board of charity CM UK, and with the Scottish Government's Heart Failure Hub.
