Accountable for the planning, investing and managing of inventory, developing the commodity strategies, aligning chemical categories with supplier capabilities, compiling product information, analyzing price and cost data, conducting the Strategic Sourcing initiatives (including competitive RFPs), negotiating pricing and Terms & Conditions with suppliers, and awarding long term agreements that achieve company financial objectives under the direction of the Director, Strategic Sourcing, and in accordance with Incorp investment strategies.
The Hardware/Telcom Category Management Associate Manager will be responsible for the Sourcing, Negotiation, and Contract Management functions that make up the IT category specifically for internal Accenture needs, but potentially expanding to include other external clients as well. These responsibilities include the following: Support management of the Procurement Plus Technology Hardware and Telcom on a global level: Support knowledge sharing between P+ and Technology category resources across the globe Support the Global Category Leads with the identification of opportunities and definition of strategy Support benchmarking of category practices with global trends to identify improvement initiatives Support assessing impact of changing business requirements, including legislation and policies Support successful implementation of global strategy and agreements: Support global category strategy development and implementation Support regional category management activities in line with global category strategy Assist with implementing new buying channels according to category strategies. Support managing supplier and customer relationships on a global level: Support management of global supplier relationships in line with Category and 360 Relationship Management strategy Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key internal customers and stakeholders Manage internal customer feedback on category organization & supplier performance Perform category management activities for projects on a global level: Support the category strategy implementation/execution for global projects and initiatives Perform supplier selection and fact-based negotiations in alignment with Global Category Leads Involve the business for actions related to supplier base optimization, KPI implementation Identify, support and implement improvement initiatives
The Vendor Management Analyst is responsible for management of assigned vendors and partnering with business owners to oversee vendor relationships. This role will participate in vendor audits, track/monitor terms of agreements, complete annual/periodic vendor reviews, track expiration dates for key reports (i.e. insurance, SOC 2 Type II, PCI Attestation of Compliance), assist with addressing service issues, participate in the negotiation of pricing/contract terms for new vendors and/or products, as well as analyze buying behavior to assess opportunities for consolidation and rationalization of vendor services.
Help our customers address urgent and critical business initiatives and projects with strong procurement support. Be responsible for creating RFQ’s and negotiating purchases and contracts for goods and services on behalf of Accenture customers. Communicate frequently and professionally with customer stakeholders regarding the status of the procurement aspect of the project including creation of Statement of Work and other sourcing and contracting documents. Perform supplier research and identification and perform RFQ analyses such as rate card analyses, basic TCO, lease vs. buy/NPV. Participate in initiatives aimed at improving productivity and efficiency to support company and account growth. Offer creative solutions to support sourcing projects and achieve desired results. Gain exposure to all aspects of the sourcing process, including Negotiations and Contracting. DCMs own the operational implementation of the category strategy including requisition processing, the creation of Purchase Orders and, as their title suggests, daily management of demand prioritization, compliance control and issue escalation.
