I've spent 15 years in project management, and I love the challenge of a new project. No matter how much experience you gather in the field, each new project comes with its own nuance and complexities ripe for creative problem solving.. At Penske Media Corporation, I get to work with incredible brands like Rolling Stone, Billboard, and Variety, helping them navigate everything from major tech overhauls to industry-wide changes like the end of third-party cookies. One of the biggest things I've learned is that successful projects aren't really about perfect plans or flawless execution. They're about people. Whether I'm explaining complex technical strategies to executives, helping a team bounce back from layoffs, or mentoring someone through their first major project crisis, it all comes down to building trust and keeping everyone moving in the same direction. Some of my favorite wins? Leading our "Cookiepocalypse" strategy, transforming chaotic teams into our highest-performing groups, and launching 40+ projects across wildly different domains. But what I'm most proud of is watching the people I've worked with grow into confident contributors themselves. I thrive in those moments when everything seems impossible – tight deadlines, competing priorities, stakeholders who can't agree on anything. That's when strategic thinking meets real-world problem-solving, and that's when the magic happens. I'm passionate about mentoring emerging talent and believe that the best project outcomes come from empowered, cohesive teams. If you're looking for a strategic partner who can navigate complexity while building lasting organizational capabilities, let's connect. As an Associate Manager in the Digital Distribution Department I worked with first party publishers (PSN, XBL, WiiWare, Steam, etc) to secure release timing placement, promotion slots, and oversaw submission of all digital content. I managed and advised two people to ensure that sales and forecast reporting were timely and accurate. I worked cross departmentally with the development, sales, operations, and marketing teams to ensure that all the pieces needed for proper submission and successful product launch were in place. During this time I was also put in charge of the Konami Style Website, which is an e-commerce portal for Konami software and licensed merchandise. I was the primary buyer for the site, deciding which merchandise should go on the site and working with vendors to secure product quantities. I worked with our social networking teams and marketing team to get the word out on new products of interest, targeting the specific franchise fan bases. I planned sales promotions and discounts to correspond with product launches and other special events. Due to my efforts and the efforts of my team we doubled sales revenue at Comic Con and the website was on track to double or perhaps even triple revenue compared with the previous year.
Though my position title was Sales Coorinator, I did much more than usually falls under the normal responsibilities of the job. My primary responsibilities were to maintain contact with the outside Sales Representation firms and Sales Mangers to make sure that they had everything they needed to sell product into retail and distribution channels, processing paperwork for the sales managers, and weekly sales reporting. I expanded that to create reporting and analysis for business needs from sales trends, market research, mark down forecasting, budgeting, and whatever else was needed. I was the primary business contact for NPD, IDG, EEDAR, Market Track and any other ad hoc market research and data firms we worked with. I also worked with internal programmers to oversee and revise our Sales Extranet site. The site needed to function as a portal accessible to internal Sales, Finance and Operations teams and connect them with external Sales Managers and Sales Representatives Firms. The site helped us to manage Product information, MDF Co-Op, Pice Protection, Sales Forecasting, and Reporting. Each process was able to be logged and executed from credit claim submission, through approval, and payment. We were then able to get accurate reporting on what credit was issued or earmarked to be issued. When post audits came in, we had accurate and thorough records to dispute or accept claims as needed. I drafted the official documents for our MDF and Price Protection Policies as well as Intra-company and customer Sample Policies. After proving my abilities, I was put in charge of managing the whole price protection process including long term and short term mark down strategies, planning, forecasting, and managing the budget under the mandated % of gross revenue. I continued to do this even after moving departments with-in the company for lack of anyone else with the ability to do so.
