I am an Health Sociologist, specialising in: ○ Aged Care/Gerontology ○ Healthcare Ethics ○ Medication Management ○ Workforce Support/Education ○ Consumer Input into Care. With skills in project management and mixed methods research I have worked with organizations and professionals across the healthcare spectrum (hospital, residential, and community/home care). I am currently leading a program of work focused on medication administration and communication in residential aged care. Previously I have worked on a wide variety of projects and research topics including: quality care for older adults, health service research/evaluation, and management of Behavioural/Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD). These projects have required liaising with care providers, survey design and analysis, audits, interviewing older adults and staff, and working with health services in Victoria. My PhD investigated Medication omissions in residential aged care and the ethical considerations that may apply in these instances. I also work casually after-hours as a group fitness instructor (BodyPump and RPM cycle classes, Les Mills) across Fitness First gyms in Melbourne CBD.
