Manages all aspects of online educational curriculum for surgeons in training used by about 200 US, Canadian and international surgical residency programs and about 1,750 residents annually. Oversees overall marketing, communication, enrollment processing, program administration and implementation, and user experiences. Evaluates curriculum effectiveness alongside curriculum directors to make adjustments as needed to maintain the growth of the program. Plays a critical lead role in the development of the innovative resident e-learning program ACS Cognitive Simulations: Cases Essential to Surgical Practice, including collaborating with more than 150 surgeon authors and reviewers to design case scenarios. Manages the very complex processes of case development, surgeon author recruitment and training, pilot testing and refinement, and launch of this ground breaking program. Provides excellent customer service to customers, monitors sales of curriculum, creates monthly variances and assists Senior Manager in creation of budget. Serves as staff liaison to ACS Committee on Interprofessional Education and Practice including scheduling of meetings, agenda preparation, follow-up on action items and support for committee projects.
Assistant editor for Plastic Surgery Education Network (PSEN), the premier online education website for plastic surgeons from residency to retirement. • Managed monthly content including submission, peer review, editing and uploading in CMS of case reports, literature reviews, and online CME courses. • Coordinated 87 module resident curriculum, including creation of modules by 100+ surgeon committee, creation of curriculum in LMS, and enrollment of 90 US residency programs and 5 international programs. • Point of contact for users of PSEN to resolve technical issues, purchasing of products, CME claiming and user registration. • Worked directly with vendor to troubleshoot website problems and management, including website launch, regular maintenance, and redesign. • Marketed of PSEN through blogging, social media marketing and person-to-person contact at ASPS symposium and meetings.
