Experience with flood risk mapping, watershed modelling and stormwater management review. Master’s degree in Hydroinformatics and Water Management, obtained from a consortium of five European universities, focusing on hydrology, hydraulics and resource management. Experience working and studying abroad, and networking with people from around the world. Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering and completed four cooperative education internships at the federal government, a local conservation authority and an international organization. Adaptable, reliable and a quick learner, due to the wide range of experiences in Canada and Europe.
Responsible for many aspects of flood risk mapping projects; including field surveys, hydrologic analysis, setting-up, calibrating and validating hydraulic HEC-RAS modelling, report writing and communicating work to the public. Also involved with watershed modelling using Mike11 software, the low water response team, and data management. Responsible for reviewing stormwater management reports and technical aspects of Section 28 permits, since October 2010.
Completed a Masters thesis entitled: Environmental Flow Requirements (EFR) for the Sudd Wetlands: Preliminary estimation of EFR and the importance of considering socioeconomic indicators.
Provided technical support to ongoing projects in the areas of hydrology, hydraulics, data analysis and stormwater management.
