My areas of expertise are academic writing, feedback provision, and diagnostic assessment.
I provide academic advice to undergraduate and postgraduate university students based on the results of a diagnostic assessment. I have also designed and conducted training sessions for raters and language advisers and designed writing and speedreading assessments. Strengths and achievements: • Providing students with appropriate feedback on their writing (undergraduates and postgraduates, including PhD students) both face-to-face and online • Developing diagnostic tasks for future use at DELNA • Developing and providing rater training • Developing, piloting, and implementing a training program for language advisers • Conducting research on best practice for assessment development, assessment administration, and rater training
I was the lecturer for a course entitled Issues in Language Teaching. Attendees were English teachers at a university in Russia. I also ran professional development workshops for the wider university community.
