As a designer my responsibilities include: - Design of full residential interior schemes including furniture layouts, soft furnishings, decoration, accessories, flooring and aiding specifications of bathroom & kitchens - Communicating with the client throughout the project including the initial meeting and taking the brief - Technical planning and production of scale furniture layouts - Producing full client quotes using Esti Pc software - Ordering full projects, tracking there process to ensure deadlines are met - Manage all aspects of a client’s project - Present schemes in various ways to the clients including mood boards and show room presentations - Manage all trades on site including builders, electricians, decorators, curtain fitters and installation teams - Styling rooms when required - Liaising with suppliers from getting quotes to ensuring deadlines are kept - Keeping up with current trend by visiting UK trade fairs, Maison et Object, Paris & Salon, Milan Junior Designer August 2010 - June 2013 As a junior designer my responsibility included: - Assisting the designers with all aspects of the design process - Re selecting fabrics for projects - Sitting in on client meetings in the show room as well as on site/clients own home - Communicating with clients, suppliers and trades on behalf of the designer - Checking invoices from suppliers and liaising with the accounts team to raise new invoices - Answering the telephone and general office duties including keeping the show room presentable - Ordering samples for projects and booking reps in with new collections - Attending UK based trade shows to keep up to date with current trends - Completing client quotes at an efficient pace - Placing and tracking of orders to ensure deadlines were met - On hand experience of space planning, working out wallpaper and fabric quantities
