  • Electronics & Radiofrequency Engineer at CERN
    Aug 2010 - Present · 15 yrs 11 mos

I am an electronics engineer specializing in radiofrequency (RF) and analog electronics for particle accelerators. Throughout my time at CERN, I have contributed to a variety of projects, working on the design, development, and maintenance of RF systems critical to accelerator operations. My work has supported projects such as the Compact Linear Collider (CLIC), the Proton Synchrotron (PS), and the AWAKE experiment and more recently the Antimatter Factory (AD). My work has always been driven by a focus on collaboration and problem-solving. I take pride in contributing to the projects that push the boundaries of science, working closely with colleagues to ensure the success of innovative accelerator systems.

  • R&D engineer at SENSOREX
    Feb 2010 - Jul 2010 · 6 mos

Sensorex, a division of Meggitt Avionics, specializes in the design and manufacturing of linear and angular motion sensors, as well as Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) for avionics applications. I primarily worked on an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) developed for helicopter applications, addressing a significant production scrap rate issue. Utilizing Six Sigma methodologies and tools, I conducted in-depth analyses to identify the root causes of the scrap. - Implemented process improvements to enhance production quality and reduce waste. - Conducted X-ray inspections of integrated circuits, revealing a critical manufacturing defect originating from the supplier. - Delivered actionable recommendations to the supplier, resulting in improved component reliability and overall product performance.

  • Electronics designer & Automotive Program Manager at LEM SA
    May 2003 - Nov 2008 · 5 yrs 7 mos

In the automotive department, I designed the company's first magnetic current sensor incorporating embedded microcontrollers. This project marked a pivotal moment, as it not only introduced an innovative technology but also established a new activity focused on embedded software development within the company. I also managed multidisciplinary automotive projects, collaborating with teams specialized in electronics, software, mechanics, process engineering, quality, purchasing, and industrialization to design advanced magnetic current sensors. Key Specializations: Design of analog electronics instrumentation for wide-temperature environments. Development of embedded software for microcontrollers. Expertise in magnetic current sensing technologies (Hall effect, Fluxgate). knowledge of magnetic materials and processes. Product and process optimization through statistical analysis (Six Sigma). Application of quality tools such as FMEA and Six Sigma methodologies. Financial assessments, including functional analysis, cost estimation, forecasting, and market research.
