Deputy Director of Finance for one of the UK's largest HE institutions with gross annual budget in excess of £0.25m Financial activities include -Development of financial strategies -Project prioritisation and delivery -Management of capital programme including estate master planning @£200m -Treasury management - IT systems and development ; - management , motivation of over 80 staff.
Responsible for:- -Development and implementation of Medium Term Financial Plan to reflect the strategic direction and objectives of a new, innovative and ambitious unitary local authority -Development of annual revenue budget- £750m -Development and management of medium term capital programme that aims to deliver significant infrastructure development to the borough and attract both inward investment and a step change in economic activity- £300m -Treasury Management Activities- £1bn per annum transaction turnover -Insurance function -Cheshire Pension Fund- strategic allocation and ongoing management and monitoring of £3.5bn of assets. Provision of first class administration service to the Funds 70,000 members and 140 employers -Leadership, motivation and management of large multidisciplinary professional team - Provision of financial services to major economic and regeneration schemes totalling over £400m encompassing identification, development and introduction of appropriate funding packages together with robust long term business plans.
